Bible Verses about 'Rise on the wings of an eagle'

  • Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone,
    for they will surely sprout wings
    and fly off to the sky like an eagle.
  • But those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
    They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.
  • But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.
  • For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
  • And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
  • He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
    his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
  • Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
  • How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
  • Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)
  • Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
    therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
    For the Lord is a God of justice.
    Blessed are all who wait for him!
  • The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
    and his ears are attentive to their cry.
  • As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning.

After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
  • Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
  • “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
  • On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.
  • Blessings crown the head of the righteous,
    but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.
  • But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.
  • But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.
  • For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
    and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
    but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
  • Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other.
  • Cast your cares on the Lord
    and he will sustain you;
    he will never let
    the righteous be shaken.

Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.
